How EcoVadis’ Certification Indicator works

Certificates are an important element utilized during the assessment process of a rated company. They are categorized as part of a company’s Actions, which includes other topics such as third-party audits, internal procedures, and employee training. Certifications account for 35% of the 40% weight of Actions within the EcoVadis assessment scoring methodology. To be considered valid, they must include standardized and clear measurement criteria, be conducted by a credible third-party auditor, and be verifiable with external methods.
