South Africa’s 2020 Virtual Food Safety Conference will bring together international and national food safety and other experts to inform, challenge, and inspire you to stay focused on the joint efforts that protect us as consumers.

COVID-19 has undoubtedly caused disruptions in many spheres globally, not least of which is the food industry. After a tumultuous year, the dawn of a new year is upon us. There is no better time to reflect on the events of 2020 and what the pandemic has taught us related to food.

More than ever, in times of crisis, the provision of safe, affordable, and nutritious food is key to supporting health. Food safety, food security, the food supply chain, and economic challenges, amongst others, are all important considerations that merit attention.

Speaking at the Food Safety Summit 2020 will be FSSC 22000 Technical Manager Elsabe Matthee for the following session:

“The Future of FSSC 22000 – looking at COVID 19 experiences and lessons learned for food audits”
