First accreditation for FSSC 24000 with Global Standards and EMA

EMA grants FSSC 24000 Version 1.0 accreditation in Social Responsibility to Global Standards S.C, the first Certification Body to achieve this recognition.

FSSC 24000 is an ISO-aligned social management system Scheme developed to assist organizations in the consumer goods industry in meeting social sustainability and performance requirements. It incorporates the internationally recognized, independent standard PAS 24000.

Global Standards S.C is the first Certification Body to achieve accreditation to the FSSC 24000 Version 1.0 Scheme in Social Responsibility. The Mexican Accreditation Body EMA provided the accreditation, also making them the first Accreditation Body to offer accreditation to the FSSC 24000 Scheme.

The Foundation is pleased to work with Accreditation Bodies (ABs) worldwide who recognize and commit to management system accreditation of FSSC Certification Schemes under ISO/IEC 17021-1. ABs offer accreditation services for FSSC licensed Certification Bodies (CBs) to demonstrate that they meet the requirements of the relevant FSSC Scheme. All ABs recognized by FSSC have signed an agreement with the Foundation to mutually ensure and facilitate trust in the integrity of FSSC certificates issued by accredited CBs.

Accreditation and an FSSC license ensure that CBs like Global Standards are monitored by the FSSC Integrity Program, which safeguards trust in auditing and third-party certification of organizations to the FSSC 24000 Scheme.

Sites successfully certified by Global Standard to the FSSC 24000 Scheme are listed on the FSSC Public Register, and actionable supplier management is available through our FSSC On-Site platform. The Foundation’s subscription plan (FSSC On-Site) is a secure digital service that allows interested parties to access real-time updates of FSSC certificate status.
