Within the Sustainable Development (SD) department, the selected Sustainable Development (SD) Manager will contribute to setting up and executing operational activities of impact strategy and capacity building objectives for 2025 and onwards. SD manager will manage to coordinate the operational work related to impact and capacity building with different FSSC departments, as well as in collaboration with external partners (non-industry stakeholders).
Key Result Areas
Strategy:
- Ensure that operational plan and operational activities related to key objectives and tasks defined within FSSC impact and capacity building strategies are properly and timely executed in coordination with other FSSC departments and key external partners ( non-industry stakeholders, as mentioned below).
Management and operational:
- Implementing and managing various projects related to impact areas and Impact KPIs defined within the FSSC Impact strategy according to the timelines of 2025, 2027, and 2030.
- Implementing and managing various projects and tasks defined within the FSSC capacity building strategy for 2025 and onwards.
- Design and prepare various operational plans according to defined tasks and KPIs within FSSC Impact & Capacity building strategies.
- Coordinating and supervising the projects and operational plans related to FSSC Impact and Capacity building strategies for their execution in coordination with various FSSC internal departments (such as technical, HR, Operations, Market development, Communication, Integrity, and Digital service departments).
- Interaction and coordination with various external partners (non-industry stakeholders such as public institutions, NGO, academia, financial institutions, philanthropic organizations, development agencies, etc.) in building projects and collaboration in line with objectives and tasks defined within FSSC impact and capacity-building strategies.
- Internalizing and implementing various elements of sustainability within FSSC in line with Global Compact principles and FSSC’s contribution to UN SDGs.
- Support FSSC for various sustainability related reporting including FSSC annual report on matters of impact strategy, global compact and FSSC annual reporting in coordination with FSSC Communication team and any other external partners.
- Support in setting-up of FSSC impact monitoring digital system with FSSC Digital service department or with any IT consultancy and keep tracking of Impact monitoring report and progress.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
The ideal Sustainable Development Manager:
- Academic or bachelor’s degree in environmental science or social science or sustainability related studies.
- Minimal 3 years of experience in CSR, social or environmental sustainability
- Experience in project management.
- Self-motivated with very good communication, project management, and people management skills.
- Capable of building strong interpersonal relationships.
- Intercultural awareness and sensitivity.
- Fluent in English; ability to read, write, and speak English at a high proficiency level.
