About the Role
FSSC is seeking a highly experienced and self-motivated professional to support our market development activities as a Contractor. This role is ideal for an expert in food safety, auditing, or certification who can work independently while collaborating effectively with a global team.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The Contractor should have:

Over ten years of experience in food safety, social auditing, or certification, either as an auditor, in market development, or within large sector-relevant organizations.

In-depth knowledge of relevant Schemes, ISO, GFSI, and SSCI requirements.

A strong network with key stakeholders such as ABs, CBs, government bodies, and industry players.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

The ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

High proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Position Details

Type: Self-employed consultant (contractual basis)

Duration: Minimum one year, with annual renewal subject to performance

Commitment: Minimum of 80 hours per month

Location: Based in Canada or the USA (with travel across the territory and potential annual visit to Europe)

Compensation: Competitive hourly rates, to be agreed upon based on experience
