Regional Representative – North America (Canada/USA)

About the Role

FSSC is seeking a highly experienced and self-motivated professional to support our market development activities as a Contractor. This role is ideal for an expert in food safety, auditing, or certification who can work independently while collaborating effectively with a global team.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The Contractor should have:
  • Over ten years of experience in food safety, social auditing, or certification, either as an auditor, in market development, or within large sector-relevant organizations.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant Schemes, ISO, GFSI, and SSCI requirements.
  • A strong network with key stakeholders such as ABs, CBs, government bodies, and industry players.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • High proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Position Details

  • Type: Self-employed consultant (contractual basis)
  • Duration: Minimum one year, with annual renewal subject to performance
  • Commitment: Minimum of 80 hours per month
  • Location: Based in Canada or the USA (with travel across the territory and potential annual visit to Europe)
  • Compensation: Competitive hourly rates, to be agreed upon based on experience
